Why Support Camelback Ventures?

Camelback Ventures recognizes the genius of entrepreneurs of color and women who are leading education and other social impact ventures. We take pride in supporting underestimated founders—many of whom are first-generation college graduates and immigrants—in our cohorts. Over 93% of our entrepreneurs identify as people of color, and 63% women and non-binary.

Since 2015, Camelback has invested $6.8 million and provided coaching, curriculum, and community to more than 165 social impact leaders—and this number continues to grow. For these entrepreneurs, Camelback’s support is vital to increasing their chances of success now and in the future. That’s why we need supporters like you!

Supporter Spotlights

Here we highlight the diverse array of Camelback Changemakers who make our work of creating livable communities possible.

Aston Motes

Camelback Changemakers

“As a signer of the Founders Pledge, I believe entrepreneurs are uniquely placed to transform the world – today and in the future – by using their skills, networks, and resources to tackle seemingly insurmountable problems. I met Aaron Walker in 2016 and have attended a few Camelback events. I chose to financially support Camelback because it’s a sound investment in ensuring the success of more startups led by founders of color and women.”

Paula Sneed & Lawrence Bass

Camelback Changemakers

“We are inspired to invest in Camelback for three reasons. First, every single child has a right to an excellent education. Second, entrepreneurial genius is a major contributor to making educational excellence for all a reality. Finally, we invest because, as beneficiaries of these types of investments, we believe those who are able to give, should.”

Tyler Richendollar

Camelback Changemakers

“When I first connected with Camelback at their showcase, it felt like a community of purpose and love. I wanted to be best friends with everyone on the team and the fellows! The easiest way for me to show a little love was to start a recurring donation. It felt like every dollar I gave really had a significant return in the lives and dreams of the team and fellows.”
